I like this picture also, it is filling in so so well, cannot believe how year on year it has changed, worth all the hard work eh!

It is just the best feeling to see the change year on year isn't it! Today I hauled out loads of violets which I had put in for ground cover.....now they are taking over everywhere! I couldn't bear not to keep any, so I pushed them in under the hollies, but it gave me room to plant some more h.gers.

I only have the wild violets in the garden, they multiply like crazy and I have to just pull out and chuck out, they become very invasive if I do not control them. But I must say I love violets for some reason, think it is because they come through all sorts of weather flower early and never fail. Such sweet little flowers on them and beautiful colour.

Yes, me too. I couldn't bear to dump them all. I have the pale spotty ones, the purple ones, and the dark leaved ones....all lovely and all thugs!
