dont leave it too long before you go the dry weather will make them go to seed so quickly. There is just one disadvantage I find with them in the borders, that is the leaves flop over and lay flat on the ground, the flowers stay upright and tall but the leaves squash everything on the floor of the garden.

Yes, exactly, that's why I don't have them, they have really heavy leaves too, and lots of them!
