This is one of the customs here that I love....every May the 1st you collect flowers and make a wreath to hang outside of your house.

The first time I make a wreath all of my flowers were just falling to the ground and I kept putting them back on....it took me a few year but I finally got the hang of it.

Oh boy Stickitoffee....a blog!!! Impossible this week, but I will try soon. (I hope).
Most of the flowers are from my garden except for the snowballs, they are from my mom's tree mine is still too small.

Custom has it that you keep it for 40days. It looks horrible by the end but I've been keeping it.
I've always wanted one for Christmas...will make one this year.
I'm sure you have most of these plants in your garden.
Bottle brush, Calla lily, wild garlic, Snowball tree, Geranium and a branch from my Acacia tree.

bottle brush will grow in devon where my mum lives, cala would have to be inside i think
snowball tree would be ok as would geranium, and wild garlic grows wild.
not sure about acacia?
