Meanie:
This is such a beautiful vine. I wish they were more widely grown here! :>)

Delonix - I wish that I COULD grow it here!!!!!

Meanie:
You can grow it in your conservatory, can't you? or would it be too overwhelming?
Jade Vine is considered tender even for San Diego's subtropical climate. However, I've read they do grow well in the Los Angeles Area...and my climate is even milder. I know it prefers high heat and humidity all year (being native to the Philippines). The few I've seen growing outside here look a little ratty by the end of winter, but luckily it's an extremely vigorous grower.

I'm sure that I could, but yes, it would be overwhelming! I'd have to hand over a large part of my space over for a relatively short flowering season, but long season of growth.
And, at the end of the day, it would still be disappointing compared to this mature example that I can visit whenever I choose!!!!

Meanie:
That makes sense. I do the same thing, also...enjoy other people's plants/trees when I don't have room for them.
