Lemon balm at the back (fat leaves) and green mint to the front (thin leaves). Every Spring the lemon balm and mint appears again.
The Lemon balm is a very good replacement if you can't grow lemon trees in your garden. It makes fantastic lemon tea's (hot or ice cold) and you can use it exactly the same as lemons when giving flavours to Chicken or fish dishes. I just love it! The best thing about it is not only the lovely taste...but it acts as a natural anticeptic when you eat/drink it...so it is very good for your health!
P.S. It grows fast like mint...so plant it in a pot if you dont want it to spread. It dies back completely in Winter.
