Aquilegia 'nora barlow'

Does this plant like sunny or shady? Is it hard to keep?

Its in a pot since last year Sgbabe, in a semi shaded spot.....It survived the winter like this....I believe Aquilegias to be frost hardy....this one will colour-up more than it has at the minute...I'll put another pic up later.....I have some growing in sun as well..
