Plumeria 'Lurline'

Plumeria 'Lurline' (Plumeria rubra 'Lurline')

This picture is of Plumeria 'Lurline' which has flowers of red-orange on yellow resulting in a rather striking appearance.

In the center of the flower is a red star. The scent is spicy, mildly sweet.

Many flowers open at the same time resulting in a full inflorescence.

The picture was taken on May 3, 2011 in Chicago, zone 5, indoors....

It's pretty amazing to see this variety bloom indoors. I've only seen it bloom outdoors in full sun here in San Diego.
