Im back again Karen....I googled this lovely plant and 'virginicum' seems pale blue....'oblongifolia' looks more like yours...Im hoping to find it somewhere.:Gone on to my favs....>)

I don't think the leaves are narrow enough for oblongifolia. It looks more like virginica to me motty. The flowers do lighten up as they open up.

I will try to root the cuttings for you Karen as I don't think they will travel too well, any tips on how to get them going?

All I did was just as any other cutting...take a shoot without a flower bud and into the semi-woody growth. Cut it cleanly under a growth point, strip the first few pairs of leaves off, and shove it in compost to a depth of about 1-2" and water them in. Simple! I haven't kept them in the greenhouse since start of May as it gets too warm in there, just pop them in a sheltered position and off they will go!
