Denise, this is a replacement shrub for Euonymus lucidus that died in the winter. I'm intending to keep it as a shrub, though when I saw it in an open garden last year, they'd let theirs spread and grow quite tall. It should be OK where it is I hope, as it's protected on two sides. It is lovely, isn't it! I'm very pleased with it. :-)

I bought both of mine as trees they are well over 20ft. I dont not think they work as trees because of the damage in wind. but as fast growing shrubs they should be great, need a lot of room though.

Wow! I shall have to keep mine pruned, then! Thanks for the info. :-)

What a wonderful name for a plant! and very attractive too.

Thanks, Tetra. It really is a very pretty shrub - much nicer than the one that died!

Has to be an improvement Spritz lol! Its not nice losing plants, but sometimes it works for the best, giving a whole new and fresh look to the area.

That's true. It was upsetting at the time, and I still have a very poorly Hebe to remove at some stage, but the replacements 'have' been improvements, really. :-))

I love these do you grow yours as shrubs Spritz? mine are trees but grow to fast and are prone to wind breaking the branches.
