Turquoise Mahonia berries

Yesterday some of us had a little discourse about the rarity of turquoise in the plant kingdom...then today, I noticed these berries on my Mahonia...almost turquoise don't you think?

Well, that's the funny thing Motty, they are as common as weeds aren't they, but we tend not to notice things when they aren't in flower, and these berries will soon turn very dark.

I bought a Mahonia yesterday for the top of the garden, hope it does as well as this.

They seem to be pretty reliable mum. This one is in a pot in deep shade.
