Tetra this is one I`ve been looking at to buy.
My garden is south facing but I want to put a yellow rose on a north facing wall, what do you think? Any imput would be appreciated.

She will grow any aspect, but I would put reservations on that personally. The flower is quite "loose" so she doesnt appreciate a windy spot. She has a Tea perfume but its stronger when she is warm. She is growing on my arch and at the base her ankles are kept warm by geraniums. This last bit may or may not make a difference. And finally, her blooms really glow when they are lit by sunshine.
Apart from my white climber she is the most floriferous of all my roses I reckon..flowers all summer long. I cut her down to about one third to half in early spring (and keep her tidy during the season cos growth is quite lax) but she is up to the top and ready to flower before anything else! If you look at the side of roof you can see the string where we have tied her top bit in.

Thanks for the info Tetra, couldn`t get one today anyway, so bought "Iceberg" the climber. I think I shall send for a bare root one for November I`m sure I can find a sunny spot for it.
