Light green slender stem. Small, more pointed leaf. More upright in the grass.
Field bindweed, I think.

Hi Karenfrance, nice to meet you, Welcome to GOY...
I too live in South West France, have been here since 2002..We did have problems with bindweed, and mares-tail, we covered everything in plastic, and what survived after was dipped in weed killer in a jar, to enable the leaves to absorb and take back to the roots...good luck..

Hi Crissue...
Thanks for your reply...it's good to know that there is another gardener in this area at GoY!
I have been here since 2004 and had no such problem with these pernicious weeds at the old house on the other side of the river!
Unfortunately, due to changing circumstances, I didn't have time or patience to tackle the problem properly!... Had to get the bones of the garden established this year as we are going to have to spend most of our time in Africa for the next 5 years before retiring here permanently.
Have had good results with 2,4D antiliserons, though...not the spot-on but the concentrate diluted in a small spray which can be carefully and selectively applied. Will have to keep at it, due to the severity of the infestation...but can see light at the end of the tunnel!
