I love this variety, Amy, especially as it usually blooms at least twice a year. Sadly, mine has wilted for some reason and he's been cut down almost to the ground. Perhaps the rest will do him good and perk him up!

Thanks everyone .. It sounds like Clematis wilt Shirley ,what a shame ! this one has decided it prefers to clamber it's way round this shrub instead of the fence .......
