I removed the Armeria (Sea Pink, Mirth) I had there last year as it was threatening to swamp everything else and replaced it with dianthus.

The long green foliage, top left is a miniature hemerocallis (day lily) It is a very solid golden yellow. I can see one flower on it so there should be a lovely scent from that. I am not sure if the alpine dianthus has a scent.

The lily sounds lovely Scotsgran.

It is a lot bigger than last year. The flowers were normal size for a day lily and I do not want to have to take it out too. There is always something to give pleasure in anticipation.

Perhaps its the weather or getting mature, I can understand you would nt want to take it out, yes there certainly is always some thing to give us pleasure.
