Mirth or Sea Pink is a lovely mound of green grassy strap like leaves with pink flowers on wiry stems in late spring early summer. It is a seaside plant so it withstands windy and dry sites making it an ideal choice for the recycled fish box I used. I made this on my Basic Gardening Course at Suntrap Garden last year.

It is easy to recycle fish boxes. You take a wire brush and roughen the surface and then paint with concrete paint. I am busy collecting enough to go along the top of our boundary wall so that I can grow things to improve our carbon footprint.

That's pretty. Great that it was all your own work too - I love a bit of recycling :)
