Astrantia Major, Alchemilla Mollis and Chives all do really well in water and will last for days.

This works so well, would never have thought of using chive flowers...I suppose the smell will disappear once they are in water ?

I haven't noticed any smell at all Judy, so...yes. The flowers don't smell of onions once they are in water. I have so many flowers on my chives just now, I could probably have a bunch in every room!!

You have just answered my Q on the other photo you posted. These should last well in water.
