Sikes Dwarf Oakleaf Hydrangea

These hydrangeas have so much to offer. Nice foliage, outstanding fall color, large (usually much larger) white flowers that age to pink and peeling bark. They do not look so great in pots though and need to be pruned quite a bit so they don't get straggly and flop over (like the one in the picture is)

1/2 sun, 1/2 shade is best but in cooler climates they can take full sun. They can grow in pretty heavy shade too but won't flower or color as well in the fall. It's a tough hydrangea and worth growing for the fall color alone.
