Lone little wild orchid in NE Scotland

It grows quite unnoticed among dandelions, high grass and weeds next to a rural joinery work shop.

Can't believe that!!!:-( Had you known, I'm sure, you would have dug them all out before, although of course, that wouldn't be allowed usually. Is that what you call this one, a Bee Orchid? Or is it a different kind you are referring to? I was so surprised to learn a few years ago, that orchids grow in Scotland. I had a lot to learn about plants when I came to Britain, as in Bavaria, everything dies in winter, whereas here, with the climate being a bit milder, there are a lot more varieties that survive in winter.

Yes, lots of orchids in scotland poodle, this one is a particularly wonderful colour and it's now on my favourites page!

Glad you like it! Saw a tiny pink one on one of my customers' lawn the other day. They must not have known what it was and kept mowing the grass. It was tiny but so resilient.

That is nice , we had some Bee Orchids growing near us they covered the lot in concrete for an industrial site ... isn't that awful ?
