How long do they bloom for?

For 2 - 3 months. Very large trees can bloom from spring - early fall...unfortunately, very large trees to 60ft/18m tall are not too common. There's actually much larger and older trees in the Los Angeles area.

A rewarding tree then.
I've some Paulownia seeds, which lovely as the blooms are, it blooms only for a short period of time.

Meanie:

A photo cannot do justice to this tree! It's a very rewarding tree. I had one for many years.

There's a variety of Paulownia in Balboa Park...it's one I posted around 3 weeks ago. It's still in full bloom...and has been blooming since early March.

Ah, now I remember!
The blooming period seems to be shorter over here, yet at the cool time of year too.....
Here's the photo of the parent of mine (hopefully)........
