It's a lilac tree Rk... looks lovely but very hard work! lots of shoots where they shouldn't be and once flowering is over there is an awful lot of sweeping up to do!

Do you know what kind of tree that is with the purple flowers? I know I can't grow it where I live and it looks familiar but can't quite figure it out.
