So pretty, is it an annual are will it form a tuber for lifting and planting out again next year?

as a youngster I grew up with dahlia's as dad was a keen grower of them. Massive football sized blooms right down to the small ping-pong one's. Every Autumn he would diligently construct bamboo frames to hang & dry the lifted tubers ( upside down of course ) before storing them frost free. Every colour imaginable ( can you get 'blue' dahlias?
This yellow single is nice, real eye-catcher Alexa.

Thanks Paul, I need to thin them out tomorrow. I planted way too many in one long pot....they are getting very big. So many beautiful colors...need to take some more pictures.
I would love blue dahlias...these I have grown from seed. Now I know what I'm going to order for next year!!!

Bampy, your Dad reminds me of how my Dad did things when I was little, such dedication. Your Dad's dahlias must have been a delightful sight, all those varieties.
