Taken today Oxfords botanic gardens.

If they're mounted they'll need regular misting Amy. Also, on the whole, they love humidity.
But some, particularly Paphiopedilum, hate getting water in the crowns. It can cause the plant to rot away.....

They were mounted Meanie hanging from branches etc. Strange plants really but so beautiful .....

my favourite is the Oncidium Papilio now (Pshychopsis) had one for years when i was younger but donated it back to the nursery when i moved away....

I work with the orchid collection at Kew and yes, we do mist them every day.There are some beautiful Dendrobiums in bloom at the moment,D.thysiflorum, densiflorum,moschatum and nobile come to mind.It is a lovely genus.

I always think of them as cooler blooming, but maybe that's because the ones that I have are......

That is a very delicate looking one , it's had a shower !
in the Orchid house at Kew Gardens we were in there when they were spraying them all down quite heavily , I didn't think they liked that much water , I never give mine very much !
