Beschorneria septentrionalis

Beschorneria septentrionalis (Beschorneria septentrionalis)

Better than B. yuccioides (in my opinion) not quite as hardy but a striking colour.

This is mean - I passed up on this at the rare plant fair last Sunday and have been kicking myself ever since!
Mind you, my reasoning was that I didn't need anything else that was tender.....

I tried it in the garden for couple of years it survived but didn't flower so luckily (or it would have probably died this winter) I dug it up and potted it up. The flower spike is around 1.5m high, i'm well pleased :-))
