I hope my Rhodo. gets that big , it's my first year of having any so they are still very small , I dont know anything about bud blast, is it caused by the cold Philip ?

Hi Amy, you should be alright, Bud blast is a fungal infection spread by Green leaf hoppers in late summer but only tends to affect us here on the south coast. You will know if you have it the buds turn black with a sooty coating.

The red flowers are Dianthus, and the tree to the right is a Rhododendron, suffering with bud blast this year so not as much flower on it.
