that is gorgeous - beauty little plants

5 Jun, 2011

The plants have grown so much since last year, I've got a lot of trimming back to do and a lot of splitting of plants otherwise everything will get suffocated. I haven't been in the garden as much as I'd like to just lately as the winds here have been strong and very chilly. Had a nice gentle shower for a good few hours today, so had a chance to soak in the soil instead of just running off.

Yes the winds have been awful and last month was pretty awful . You have pretty much plants I have here - I also have the silver mound with Sempervivums - I love the little yellow ball flowers. Our heathers thankfully coming back after drying up in spring. The sedums - looks like Dragon's blood too - they're so nice !!! We still are lacking in rain here

Yes its been very difficult due to the lack of rain Homebird. We have 4 of the half size water butts and still they ran out. we have at last had a few fairly heavy showers in the last few days which has refilled them, thank goodness, the plants etc. do so much better with rain water than from the tap. Its surprising how much growth they make after a drop of rain doesn't it?
