I'm so pleased for you , my Australian Bottle brushes are finally beginning to grow from the base after we cut them down .. Has your garden been as dry as ours ? we had a tiny sprinkle this morning and that was it !

Yes we have had some just not enough.The ground is pretty solid and digging is hard going :o(((

Our bottlebrush is not doing very well this year either .Do you cut them back in winter ours is looking like it needs a trim

I have never cut them down before , we only cut them down this time because they looked dead and surprise they have started shooting from the ground , I saw one in someones garden that had been trained like a tree with one trunk it looked nice like that when it was in flower but mine had too many shoots coming out of the ground to make one trunk , I do prune them to keep them in a decent shape they don't mind beling chopped about ....
