Interesting, Amy - this just had a label saying 'Silene'. I asked another garden owner for its name, and she came up with the 'flore pleno' bit. Is yours variegated?

No Barbara it isn't , I could see that yours is but my flower looks the same !

Barbara I'm so sorry , my brain has gone to sleep !! my party girl is Sidalcea NOT Silene , I do have a silene but that has already finished flowering and I'm not at all sure of it's name It was given to be by someone that didn't know , next year I will take a photo ....

Oh well. We all do things like that, Amy - well, most of us! LOL. I shall carry on calling it S. dioica 'Flore pleno' for the moment. :-))

It is, isn't it. The ones in the open gardens had spread and made a good clump. :-)
