Welcome to Goy, I only have a small garden but have tried to make it look like a cottage garden, I'm a bit restricted to what I can grow as my flower beds are not very wide. We had to start are garden from scratch to, there is a blog showing what the garden was like before and after. Looking forward to seeing your garden develop. Aaah I remember that sight well Pee, we did our garden from scratch too 10 years ago now.
