Remember they do not like winter wet Karen, we place all our lewisia pots on their sides in October to keep them from getting too wet.

I'm with you Annella....they hate my clay soil too. I can't grow them in pots because the winter cold kills them. I'm thinking of putting a rock garden in with sandy soil....one of these days...maybe they'll like it in there.

Good idea Gilli, it would give you more planting opportunities. My soil is heavy clay too, Karen can vouch for that as she has had a few samples in the post Lol!

Yes, I threw a pot with what came of Annies last postal plant!! DD, it is planted in a bout two inches of pea gravel! I think it will be ok. I thought I had a lot of clay in my soil until I saw Annies!!

LOL...Sounds like Annie has exactly what I have.
