that black goo is their eggs, isn't it? Amen to that...I killed about eight of them,( and they are one tough bug)...before they jumped from the easter lilies I transplanted to my Vermeer... I keep a close eye. Great photo...I was so charged up I forgot to take a pic!! Kill! Kill!

All I can say is keep after them .Thankgoodness they are red.....they would wipe out a plant in no time if you couldn't see them.
Get rid of that black goo they leave behind at some stage of their cycle as well.
