Thanks SG. I have quite a few Astrantias. This one and 'Claret' are my faves at the moment, but probably only because they are the newest ones!

I did not have much success with Astrantia which was annoying as it is a wonderful flower arranging flower. 3 years ago I bought a red one and planted it in flower from a pot. The 2nd year there was no sign of it and I thought I had lost it but last year it flowered again and it is here again this year. I will need to look for the label as I can't remember which one it is. I bought Alba last year and it is flowering its head off. It is doubly good as a floristy flower because on the instructions it says cut the flowering stem back to the ground to encourage a second flush of flowers later in the year.
