I don't know if it's my little chum here or the rain that's keeping squirrels off! eHow, from whom I got the idea, says to move it every couple of days to give the impression it's alive. I'm having trouble uncoiling it, especially the head, so I have to hook it round things to keep it fairly straight. its big brother is due to arrive any day now, so that'll double the coverage

smiles, one of the words I used in search was "realistic"; you'd be surprised at how many fluffy pink ones came under that heading!
I actually Goggled for "animals that prey on squirrels" but I didn't think that a realistic lifesize owl or fox would fit either the garden or my budget - Amazon had this for about three quid, so it was cheap enough for me to take the chance
