I would love to know what variety of buddleia this is. I have a friend in Spokane WA that has one and we would love to know the exact species.

Buddleia "David II" although the picture on the box it came in shows purple. It should be the same just different colour and no sparly bits on the box pic.

Thanks for that. We have a lot of Buddleia growing in Macclesfield but I've never seen one with the "sparly" bits. They certainly add another dimension to an already nice plant.

That's no Buddleja for sure. Can't say what it is but the flowers have five petals, not four like all the Buddleja genus.
