Veilchenblau again

My Princess Diana is a late July flowerer, so plenty of time yet.

I am just relieved it is back again, if you remember it wilted away last year, no flowers at all.

Glad to hear about Princess 'Diana' Clematis, I bought one from Ebay a few weeks ago, it looked so tiny and weak, I was worried it would survive, had a look at it yesterday, it is trying, I am keeping my fingers crossed that it will make it.

Lovely to see your Weilchenblau, I transfered mine late last year, have been watching it ever since, saw no sign of life on in the spring, but in the last few weeks it has started sprouting lovely new growth all over the place, no buds to be seen yet, but I am just happy it has made it, I know it will bless me very soon:)))

Don't know what happened with Princess Diana last year, think it might have been wind damage but she just keeled over and never did produce, but she looks fine this year. My daughter bought a couple and they have gone crazy and they were just little sprugs when she bought them. Fingers crossed for yours it is a beautiful flower, bit like Diana was.

Yes I agree - she was a very kind lady and of course very beautiful much too beautiful for some eh!!

It is a well-named Clematis, it flowers for ages and the colour is stunning! I had the privilege of receiving my graduation diploma from the Princess....remember Mum? So I have one up on 'Princess' Kate, as I actually met her....I brag about it all the time!! ;))

I certainly do remember, what a super day, absolutely gorgeous weather as well, we had a good time. Seems a long while ago now. Great memories though. Still have the pictures in my album well one of the albums and one of the drawers (which is full of old photos) lol. One day I suppose when I am very old and not able to go out into the garden and play I will sort out the photograph drawer lol. Hopefully not soon!!!
