Ornamental Millet is a tall, grasslike plant that adds
dramatic height to gardens and large containers.
Purple Majesty reaches 4 to 5 ft. (1.2 to 1.5 m) tall in
the garden with 12 to 14-in. (30 to 35-cm) flower
plumes. At the time of flowering, Jester is
approximately three-quarters the height of Purple
Majesty, and Purple Baron is about two-thirds
the height of Purple Majesty.

sounds interesting!!!! can you split them when they get bigger, are they clump forming?

Hi Raleigh- looking at the pic I would say yes...you can split most grassses...It's the kind of thing that would just suit a new border we're creating at the moment..to house some very old hostas, and i would like to combine them with perhaps grasses etc, but of the colouring of yours, especially the plumes....an extra bonus i think...
It also reminds me of a Phormium...
