That's such a shame Olive, we too had a rough Winter, and its getting quite common now for us to have snow..We all lost plants, some like you that we've had a long time..What about growing them in pots for a couple of years, and taking them in Autumn...I haven't got a greenhouse, just a shed..but I fleece, and straw most of the garden...As you keep your chooks, lay loads of straw down...its cheap, and works well....
Penstemon is such a pretty likeable perennial, thanks everyone...

Yes I suppose I could do that, but this year I have decided to do that with Dahlias and Fuschias so no room left for anything else. lol. I am running out of space fast here. Need to win the lottery to buy a big big field with a big big shed and then I might be able to store more things, oh and a huge huge garden is needed with a huge huge house also. lol.Nothing too much to ask for is it? lol. Only trouble is I think there are hundreds of people if not thousands wanting the same thing.lol.

None of mine has survived Crissue even the one that I have had for years and years curled up its toes and decided to wave bye bye. lol. Will not try them again. Think if we are going to get cold winters like the last two it is just a waste of money and effort, only going to keep going with plants that can put up with the cold winters.
