lol well alas this isn't all mine, this is the home garden i live in a massive house that was built in 1889 (or there about from the records i've found so far) but it's been split into 6 different flats now, we live on the bottom right hand side.
there's only me and the lady next to us on the ground floor who try to look after the garden, we pay a maintence fee to the management company who send out a gardener every other week for £40 a visit but he dosent do a whole lot!
i started doing bits here and there and the gardener seemed to do less and less, it could be really good it we all worked together on it.
the lady next door also seemed to have issues with thats your half of the garden and this is mine :( untill i started taking the ivy and trimming the lower branches on the trees and it suddenly gave her more light on her side, since then we seem to be getting on really well with me?
sorrry that was quite a long explination wasn't it!

my apologies again, i just noticed you mentioned the the work garden and the guy's upstairs, thats another long story!
at the min i'm just beefing up my profile page, it only lets you do three pic's at a time so it's taking me quite a while, i was starting with home then going on to work.
thats kinda the wrong way round to do things as all my questions so far have been to do with things in the work garden!
i'll let you know about the work garden when i eventually get the pic's up if thats ok?
... might want to come back next week tho lol

Maybe, now that you're making it a nice place to be, all the concerned parties will pull together, like a mini-community?
Especially, if you explain your vision for the garden :)
...and,...... find cheap sources of plants, lol! :)

thats what i'm wishing for Karen! you know what they say about the city, 'your surrounded by people but you dont actually know any of them!' people are welcome to use 'my side' (?) any time they want!
Ms Andrews next door has her plants in tubs and i've takeing cuttings from the work garden to pop in here, just waiting for them to get a bit stonger :)
i know one of the flats has a littlen and it would be nice if one day they could enjoy the space to run around in, maybe put up a swing and a slid etc.

...that would be a good scenario, so good for everyone!

As the garden takes shape Claire I'm sure everyone who views it will appreciate it.
How about a bird feeder or two?

You've got a lovely big space there, Claire, and it looks as if it could be quite private! When you talk about 'work' garden and the guys upstairs, what is the situation?
