Just put mine into the ground, they took simply ages to get going...love the purple flowers, and the aroma, when wet...

last year my chives were much better, had loads of lovely flowers! This year its on a bit of a go slow but it'll get there.

Mine are minute compared to your lovely specimen.

Great in soups, salads and sandwiches - bees love the flowers too!
