It's lovely , are you like me Shirley and avoid the yellows and oranges in the summer ?

Amy, I have an aversion to Orange flowers, there's no reason for it, just don't like the colour at all. It's a standing joke with some members that I now have an Orange Honeysuckle climbing up the arbour, it was labelled as being pinky/yellow! I do grow a fair amount of yellow flowers for my OH, his colour blindness means yellow is the best colour for him to see. Potentillas, Hypericum etc. , also I don't have much red as he just can't see it. : o (((

You know I can't resist winding you up,Shirley, but glad you like the flower ! Ta..:o) I did them from seed ,so didn't know what colour they were..its next a yellow one..I
should have shown that for Michael.:o)
Oh dear Amy..and I have them both together ! Lol.I know what you mean though..they do seem to clash with the summer colours..and look better in Springtime.

Well done on propagating them from seed ... : o )

Thanks,I tried them last year,Shirley..and they all germinated well..and this year too..I was surprised how easy they were..and didn't lose any..Strangely enough, the slugs have never gone for them either..which is nice :o)
Not bad for a free packet from Amateur Gardening Magazine,a few years ago..I think the packet is actually out of date as well.!

Sadly, the slugs quite like my Dahlia leaves, so I've resorted to using those blue pellets. I put them very close & beneath the leaves as I'm concerned Megan may eat them. Probably not, they're not Mouse flavoured!

Your Megan isn't daft Shirley...:o)

Hmm ... daft enough to get stuck on the pergola roof yesterday ... had to entice her down with cat biscuits! She'll do it again though .. just for the biscuits at the end . . . .
