Hi Mike it's an Eryngium alpinum {Sea Holly} It turns steel blue in colour.

Iv Sea Holly 2 Phil its 1st time iv grown it this year its not in flower yet,yours looks Fab :)

It's about 2 feet tall, yours is a veriety called Apiaceae I think?
