A great show RM - well done for out-foxing the slugs and snails! :-)

Gorgeous tall and elegant...Im coming back as a delphinium that is all three, and eats slugs for breakfast!!

Thanks all, they are a bit of a challenge aren't they!
They seem to take a couple of years to come to fruition and then fade away in another couple of years.
I find the slugs etc are a problem so I use beer cups, gravel and the occasional slug pellet. I am going to try the garlic infusion soon!

Ive heard of that. Bali Hai Nursery in Ireland swears by it.
Sent me the recipe but I lost it!

I seem to remember you just boil some garlic cloves in water for a while and then use that, when its cooled off of course!

Forgot to say you dilute the solution - one large spoonful of garlic juice in a litre of water. Not sure whether the slugs are just driven somewhere else; I presume it doesn't kill them!

Beautiful colour. Delphiniums are very elegant and a friend grew them for exhibition but I never did.
