Do you think so? I just liked the colouring, which 'fits' with my Lychnis 'Gardeners' World' and white Salvia vercillicata. :-)

Like this more than Pink Eye Flame!

Thanks, Tetra. It's not too 'in your face', but blends in with other flowers nicely. :-)

Dont suppose you've ever tried taking a basel cutting have you?

Nope. I'm very ashamed of my lack of prowess in propagation. :-((

Ive got the Carol Klein book on growing your own plants. Its beautifully clear and concise and she makes you dead keen on having a go...I just havent cracked it very well yet! More failures than successes so far. Still I guess practice makes perfect..or so they say.

I have too - I'm trying, I'm really having a go at it all like wot she sez - why aren't I like her? Not fair. :-(((((

Funny that...I thought the same! Mind you, she has a lovely big potting shed where everything is to hand. And lots of space. I do wish I had more, both garden and working area. Still, no excuse really.

She's an expert - we're not. Simple as that, I think!
Keep trying, I certainly will!
