I have this, and it flowered beautifully...in the shade!!

Wow factor with this one, Sharni :) And if Tetrarch says it flowers in the shade I've got just the place for it..must keep an eye out for this one!

Yes, Im very pleased with this one. Bought it from Jaqueliner on ebay..Im pretty sure ...check on my garden section, it should tell you. It was a good plant and lasted well thru that winter in a 1 litre pot!!

"whistonlass" if you got to Raymond Evison's website you can order direct from there and they are 2yrs old already and come bushy and already flowering, mine arrived about 1 foot tall. so if you want instant. impact this summer I would order from there. It's £11.99 plus postage. x

Errr, no not quite a metre, ahh am useless with measurements it's a foot from base to top and about 3 foot once in planter, i think... look at my pic of the Empress clematis that is the size it came as lol....

Actually yes, its done right..nice and bushy at the base, more than makes up for height. Mine flowered fantastically well too at the bottom. So much more satisfying when you see lots of flowers early on. Mine has scampered up the wall now at least another 3 ft, so I think its pretty vigorous!

It is bushy, just hope it climbs and gets bigger, looks fab at the min. :)
