Gloxinia

I do like gloxinia's, nice velvety look to them..

I read that it was slightly tricky to get them to bloom again, but if you follow the advice to give them a dry rest period in the depth of winter it all comes good.

I love the colours of them...they are so rich, and this one...well, you could feast your eyes on that red for ages!

:)...can just imagine it...Sue comes in from the garden where she's been doing battle with Hardy Geraniums, to find you in a sort of hallucenagenic state, just staring at the gloxinia flower....she tuts, rolls her eyes and goes to get the tough secateurs! :))
