Yes M I see what you mean, we have three more and will be adding another later this year, any excuse to plant more roses lol we have to go up now not, much room on the ground........until we take the hedge out!! big job!

OOOh this is lovely. If you are going to plant another climber/rambler, then have a look at DA's Bellevedere (there's a pic on my blog about the gardens there) it's a stunner! Jx

I agree, but not always easy on the wrong soil.....

That is probably very true. I hadn't thought of that. I tend to stick 'em in and hope for the best. Probably explains why some haven't worked too well. Sheep aside!

I know they do like a clay soil if possible,rather than sandy and are heavy feeders and need a lot of water if the weather is dry, lots of people wont grow roses because of this.
