Escallonia laevis 'Gold Brian' (Escallonia)

'Gold Brian' is a compact, medium-sized, evergreen shrub with bright yellow new leaves turning gold when mature with rose-red flowers in summer.

I do that all the time Crissue I aim to have grass paths and hardly any lawn.

I've got virtually that now Denise !!!
After nearly 5 years there's about 80% less lawn out the front than when i moved in !!!!!

Sadly my Gold Brian never did that well, i think it's too dry here for it .... the soil, the winds ...... etc :/

I have to smile...We've had some big lawns in our gardening time...and never really used them much...I think it's an English thing to have the 'Lawn'...don't you...grass paths sound so much better :)))

Yes I find mine shrinking every year Louise. I think you are right Crissue nowhere else has the right conditions for Lawns much.
