Foraging again yesterday, found this piece of tree, its just a knot with a well in the centre, which I thought would make an ideal semper home...its just sitting on the top of a stump...

I love to see aged tree stumps in the garden, they are so good for height and for the creepy crawlies and things to hide in. You have given me an idea for one in my garden I think I might have just the spot, will now have to forage a tree stump out of the wood. Now where is the o h when I need him!

Oh goody...Barbara...love ideas that get shared..just be careful of wood wasps, they like to nest in them, and ants nests...I've got a spray I use...and then it leaves the plants safe, and the other creepy crawlies like woodlice free to inhabit...
I've planted the little 'birds nest' ...stump with a young Semper, and popped it in the semi shade till it gets started...
Good luck with your foraging....
