Amy, planted these in a propagator, in April. Pleased with the final result. My neighbour used to grow them. He lifted them and stored them for winter. Is that what I should do? Clever boy, sorry if the name is misleading.

Isnt it strange how Amy thought you were female Whitelillies and i thought of you as male?... i dont know why....
I store all my dahlias for winter in my boiler house...dried off first and wrapped in newspaper...sometimes i leave them in pots and store them..DRY...thats very important....I have grown a few from seed, they germinate quite readily, dont they?...:>)

It's funny that isn't it? You can usually tell by the way someone talks or writes. They did germinate easily. It's my first time growing them, so your advice on storing them is gratefully received. Thanks Mot.

Sorry I've only just seen your pics...
I've grown Dahlia 'Nippon' from seed collected from the original, haven't tried with any other seeds...Your Dahlia is lovely...I grow Cactus Dahlia, which are my favourite, for my small garden...just might have a go at growing from my seeds...

Must be satisfying to end up with something like this which you grew yourself. Lovely flower.
