Ugly Bed to be fixed

A bed to be fixed better for 2012. Currently contains Dahlias, wildflower mix, and weeds.

I just googled these plants and I'm sure that there will be a Planting of Phlox and Aubretias in there, I'll just have to lime the soil a bit as we're quite acidic here.

My favourite is Phlox subulata emerald cushion blue and Candy stripe. They say it prefers a well-drained/light, Chalky/alkaline soil but all mine thrive in neglected clay with a lot of grit added.

This just needs a revamp to look spectacular. Have you looked at some of the Phlox subulatas, Aubretias and Cranesbill Geraniums planted around the edges they would fall over the side and transform the look without out much effort.
