Its growing through next door's Leylandii hedge, which i really dislike.....

Me too. Had a look in Morrisons today for Duchess of Edinburgh (they have a great choice of clematis, albeit they are tiny specimens - I don't mind this - we are a patient lot, we gardeners!). They didn't have it, but I couldn't resist 'Markhams Pink'!! Nothing like the Duchess - not even the same colour -but loved the look of it!

I have 'Earnest Markham'..is that the same one?....Its a great Clem....flowers for ages....:>)

I've got 'E. Markham' - still waiting for him to flower.........
I think 'Markhams Pink' is lighter in colour and is a semi-double flower. Not sure though. Will google them.

Yes, it looks like Markhams Pink is a lighter pink and has double or semi-double flowers.
